Where spirits fly

For almost 3 years i traveled through Germany to take portraits of young women.
Often women with troubled past in the process of realigning their lives.
Women is search for a personal identity, a feeling of belonging, protection, peace of mind.

Where spirits fly documents my journey. A journey partly overlapping the young women’s journey through life.

The included landscapes are foremost landscapes of the german state North Rhine-westphalia.
A state with multiple personalities that just like most of the women in the book struggles with it’s identity and has to deal with some scars from the past.
