Today is my new favourite day celebrates the purity and freshness of youth.
Observing the way in which my daughters experience the world comes with a sense of recognition: a childlike sensitivity and excitement, as if seeing things for the first time; perceiving my surroundings through the eyes of my younger self.
Fascinated and inspired by this gentle world unfolding before my eyes I aimed my camera at them for over ten years capturing unexpected moments and details.
Even the images that are staged are drawn from our day to day life. They happened. I was just lucky enough to see them.
today is my new favourite day is a surprising, well designed and tactile book in which intimate daily moments are conveyed in strong, sometimes theatrical, images.
