Description
I photographed in and around the marble quarries of Carrara (It.) for about 40 years, on and off. That resulted in 2 new books: SKIN and SLITS | CUTS | RELICS.
SKIN reflects on the human form within stone by using the camera, double-exposure and Photoshop. It also shows how the skin of the mountain damages in the process of bringing stones to the surface.
The book has 64 pages, 38 b&w photographs in tritone, Japanese binding and a separate dustcover that has been printed on both sides, in silver. Text (in silver) by Pim Hoff.
